Exceptional vintage accent chest by Theodore Alexander, featuring richly detailed hand-painted Chinoiserie decoration and elegant brass accents.
The compact three-drawer chest combines a warm wood frame with dramatic black hand-painted panels depicting delicate floral landscapes, foliage, butterflies, and insects accented in shades of gold, coral, blue, red, and green.
The decorative treatment extends across the drawer fronts, side panels, and top, making the chest visually striking from virtually every angle. The top is surrounded by an ornate pierced brass gallery that adds a refined Regency-inspired element to the design.
Three drawers provide functional storage and are fitted with decorative brass pulls. The case is elevated on slender fluted and tapered legs terminating in brass ferrules, giving the piece an elegant, light architectural profile.
