Exceptional large vintage Neoclassical-style pedestal urn featuring dramatic swan-form handles, scrolling volutes, dimensional grape clusters, grape leaves and winding vine motifs.
This substantial statement piece stands approximately 28 inches tall and measures approximately 16 inches at its widest point, with the handles spanning approximately 15 inches from side to side. It weighs an impressive 31.2 pounds, giving it considerable presence and stability.
The urn features an elaborate molded design throughout, including the beautifully sculpted swan handles, floral/foliate detailing, a lattice-like decorative band beneath the neck, dimensional grape clusters and leaves, scrolling vines, a gadrooned lower body, and an ornate foliate pedestal base.
The richly layered brown finish has a warm faux-wood appearance with contrasting green, red and gold-toned decorative details. The result is an especially theatrical interpretation of the Neoclassical urn form that works beautifully as a standalone architectural accent.
