Art Deco four-drawer commode, circa 1930, in solid walnut and burr walnut veneer with a book-matched, symmetrical medallion effect.
The top is gray marble veined with white and gray, framed by a black lacquered cornice characteristic of Art Deco ornamentation. The drawers feature burr walnut veneer assembled in a book-matched pattern, creating an axial symmetry on the fronts. The handles are cylindrical chrome-plated metal bars, typical of production from 1925-1940. The body rests on a stepped base with rhythmic black lacquered moldings that emphasize the overall horizontality.
According to the seller, this piece is entirely original. It is in good overall condition, with some minor wear on the chrome handles and moldings, consistent with its age. Cleaning and polishing are recommended. The marble top is present and original.
