Hand-carved solid wood with original gold leaf gilding over a reddish-brown lacquer undercoat. The 4th photo shows back of foodogs with reddish-brown color. The male (right pic) has his mouth open holding a carved wooden sphere that rolls inside his mouth without falling out. His right paw is resting on a sacred ball symbolizing power over domain.
