the substantial urn-shaped body is built up in visible horizontal layers, culminating in a stepped concentric upper section. The lamp retains its broad conical shade in a closely matching grey textured finish, together with a coordinating sculptural finial. When illuminated, the light beautifully emphasizes the corrugated construction and stepped architecture of the base.

the lamp is fitted with brass-tone hardware and a leviton lampholder marked “made in u.s.a., 660w, 250v,” further supporting an american origin. It is currently fitted with a european plug.
