This 2006 example features vibrant cobalt blue upholstery with a high back, tailored seat cushion, and the sofa’s distinctive folded back construction. A black metal frame and polished aluminum legs keep the profile light and elevated. Originally designed in the 1950s, the Compact Sofa was created to provide full-size seating with a much smaller visual footprint. Its high upholstered back folds forward for easier moving and storage, a clever feature that gives the Eames Compact Sofa its name. Makers mark on bottom. See less
