Acanthus Stripe is created from inspiration of the Henry Francis du Pont museum, garden and library Winterthur.

Our pattern comes from antique wallpapers that Winterthur had in licenses from the past. Acanthus is motif that you see in several antique collectibles in the grand country house of Mr du Pont; which encompasses 175 rooms and is part of the 1,000 acre estate of woodlands and natural gardens.

Planters are used through out the house to display the seasonal flora from the gardens and celebrate the change of the season.

Our planter is water safe, and may be used with florals and branches. We like to also use it on the console as a wine chiller with a wine of your choice. We do suggest lining the interior bottom with bubble wrap for protection, and simply add ice to chill your beverage. Cheers! The planter is available in mocha brown, green and classic blue & white on cream/white crackled porcelain with brass feet.
