The dish has a beautifully understated form with a gently shaped, scalloped border and broad molded rim surrounding a deep oval well. Its classic design works equally well as an elegant serving piece or as an addition to a collection of American sterling silver.

The underside is clearly hallmarked with the Gorham maker’s marks, STERLING, and number 13565, confirming its manufacture by Gorham.

Particularly noteworthy is the substantial silver weight. The dish weighs approximately 422 grams (13.57 troy ounces) of sterling silver.

Condition: Good vintage condition with surface scratches, light tarnish and signs of normal use consistent with age. There is some heavier tarnish/patina around portions of the rim, and areas of oxidation/discoloration and surface scratches consistent use and age. as shown in the photographs. have intentionally not aggressively polished the piece, leaving the decision regarding further polishing to its next owner.

Importantly, the dish has never been monogrammed, making it especially versatile for use, display or collection.
