Dating approximately to … Read more Charming vintage double-sided wooden trade sign, hand-painted with bold black ANTIQUES lettering against an aged ochre background. Dating approximately to the mid-20th century, the sign retains a wonderfully weathered surface with layers of old white and red paint visible beneath years of natural wear.

Constructed from a substantial wood board approximately 1 inch thick, with two old metal eye hooks along the top for hanging. Both sides are lettered, making it particularly appealing for display suspended from a bracket or mounted on a wall.

The heavily distressed surface, peeling and flaking paint, worn edges, exposed wood, and rusted hanging hardware give the piece the authentic character of a working shop sign that has seen decades of use.

A terrific piece of American advertising and folk art with strong graphic presence—ideal for an antiques shop, collection of vintage signs, or rustic interior.
