The atmospheric coastal scene depicts traditional sailing vessels at sunset, with figures, rowboats, seabirds and reflections across the water.

Presented in an impressive period-style carved wood frame with deep red, gilt and painted decoration. The frame has substantial age-related patina, craquelure and wear that adds considerable Old World character.

The painting shows age-related surface wear and patina consistent with its age. A striking large-scale nautical work with excellent decorative presence.
