DESCRIPTION
Luxurious, artistic, and beautifully nuanced, the RH Tulsi Wool & Silk Rug translates the rhythmic movement of ocean tides into a sophisticated hand-knotted textile.
Inspired by the ebb and flow of water, Tulsi features stylized arcs and waves that move gracefully across an expansive field of abrash shading. The pattern creates contemporary symmetry without feeling rigid, while subtle variations in tone give the rug an organic, almost atmospheric quality.
Masterfully hand knotted in Nepal from hand-spun premium wool and silk, Tulsi is constructed at an impressive 100 Tibetan knots per square inch. Its low, hand-sheared pile combines the soft matte character of wool with the natural luster of silk, allowing the design to subtly shift in appearance depending on the direction of the pile and surrounding light.
This example is the substantial 12' × 15' size in RH's Wheat colorway. The warm neutral palette makes the rug exceptionally versatile while its extraordinary material composition and tonal movement give it the presence expected of a true luxury rug.
Previously utilized for upscale staging, this rug presents in beautiful overall condition and has been professionally cleaned by K.A. Menendian Rug Gallery prior to listing. It is refreshed and placement ready for its next home.
Overall, this is a fantastic example of the Tulsi Collection and an exceptional opportunity to acquire a large-scale, artisan-made RH wool and silk rug with remarkable craftsmanship, texture, and understated sophistication.

STYLE OVERVIEW

• Minimalist
• Designer-Curated Interiors
Tulsi's design takes inspiration from the movement and symmetry of ocean tides, but interprets that inspiration in an abstract and sophisticated way rather than presenting as overtly coastal.
Its tonal pattern and abrash shading give the rug a serene, layered appearance, while the silk introduces subtle highlights that shift as light travels across the surface.
The result is an exceptionally versatile statement rug that pairs beautifully with travertine, limestone, marble, plaster, warm woods, linen, bouclé, leather, bronze, aged brass, and other natural materials.

COLOR OVERVIEW
Wheat
Wheat is a sophisticated, warm neutral with beautifully nuanced tonal variation.
The hand-spun fibers and abrash shading create a layered palette incorporating wheat, flax, warm beige, soft taupe, oatmeal, and subtly deeper neutral tones rather than presenting as one uniform color.
The silk fibers introduce areas of gentle luster against the more matte wool, causing the coloration and pattern to subtly shift depending on lighting, viewing angle, and pile direction.
This natural interplay between matte and luster is one of the defining characteristics of the Tulsi and gives the Wheat colorway exceptional depth while maintaining an understated neutral appearance.

MATERIALS OVERVIEW
78% Wool | 22% Silk Pile
• Masterfully hand knotted in Nepal
• Crafted from hand-spun premium wool and silk
• Exceptional 100 Tibetan knots per square inch
• Hand-sheared ⅓" pile
• Finished with hand-serged ends and bound edges
• Wool provides softness, warmth, and a beautifully matte foundation
• Silk introduces natural luster, dimensionality, and tonal movement
• Hand-spun fibers enhance the organic texture and individual character of the rug
• GoodWeave Certified
The relatively high silk content is particularly important to the Tulsi's appearance. As surrounding light changes, the silk interacts differently with the matte wool, creating the subtle movement and luminosity that distinguish a premium wool-and-silk rug from conventional wool construction.
────────────────────────────
ARTISAN CHARACTER
The Tulsi is an individually handcrafted rug, and subtle variations are an intentional part of its character.
Differences in shading, abrash, yarn texture, pattern placement, dimensions, and pile direction may naturally occur as a result of the hand-spun fibers and hand-knotted construction.
The silk component can also appear lighter or darker depending on the viewing angle and direction of the pile. This is a natural characteristic of silk rugs and contributes to their distinctive depth and luminosity.
These variations should not be regarded as manufacturing imperfections. Rather, they reflect the artisan process and help ensure that each Tulsi rug is inherently unique.

CONDITION
Previously utilized for upscale staging, this RH Tulsi Wool & Silk Rug presents in beautiful overall condition.
Prior to listing, the rug was professionally cleaned by K.A. Menendian Rug Gallery and has been refreshed and prepared for placement in its next home.
Minor evidence of prior staging, placement, or handling may be present upon close inspection. Some tape residue may remain on the floor-facing underside of the rug from previous anchoring during staging. This is not visible when the rug is placed and does not detract from its overall presentation.
There is also one very small, subtle area of tonal variation that is difficult to detect. Given the Tulsi's hand-knotted wool-and-silk construction and naturally varied abrash shading, it is unclear whether this represents a minor spot or simply an inherent variation within the handcrafted rug. We are noting it for complete condition visibility.
As with all hand-knotted wool and silk rugs, natural variations in shading, texture, pile direction, sheen, and coloration are inherent to the construction and should be expected.
Overall, this is a fantastic, beautifully presenting rug with exceptional scale, craftsmanship, and material quality. It has been professionally cleaned and is refreshed and placement ready for its next home.
