A substantial English roll arm sofa made in the USA by Lexington, custom-upholstered by the previous estate in a Ralph Lauren houndstooth glen plaid in tobacco, rust, and olive. Deep rolled arms, plump down-blend back pillows, and three generous seat cushions give it the settled, club-room presence the style is known for.

The sofa has close-set antique brass nailhead trim running the arm fronts and the full base rail, and a distinctive English profile with turned bun feet at the front over a low, recessed back rail which lets the nailhead line run unbroken around the base and gives the sofa a low, grounded stance in profile.
