This piece of many complex levels by the many-media artist Harry Roseman (1945-) presents :Basic Dog and Cat: in conversation with a collage by Dixie Hall. That work by Dixie Hall is contained in the publication "Collage" published by Walter T. Foster.
Such combinations of various media and the intersection of published and hidden or original images have regularly been the hall mark of Roseman's work. For example, his 600 ft sculpture at John F. Kennedy International Airport in NYC, "Curtain Wall" depicts in solid material various cloths and curtains and suggestions of clouds and sky.
The collage is deep set in a 1 3/4 inch deep frame and measures 23 1/2 inches wide x 17 inches high.
