Design & Motifs: The lid displays a traditional mountain and water (shanshui) landscape featuring a pavilion, willow-like trees, and distant peaks under a washed cobalt glaze. These rectangular caskets were traditionally used to hold scholar's desk items, small trinkets, or seals. They typically feature hand-painted cobalt blue landscape, floral, or narrative scenes on the exterior body.

Framing: The central panel is bordered by a geometric cross-hatch or diaper pattern with an outer linear rim.
