Lewis Farm … Read more This oil painting on canvas panel was painted en plein aire (in the open air, onsite) at Ft. Lewis Farm in Bath County VA. The focus of the painting is the lines of the unmowed grasses created by the tractors as they move toward the barn at the top of the hill.

Bio of the Artist:
Teresa DiMarco, Richmond Virginia artist and Plein Aire painter, sees and captures light and color shapes in the landscape, in still life and interiors.. She enjoys the contrast of structural elements and dramatic perspectives. In figurative work, she focuses on the feeling invoked by the figure in its location. She works in oils and oil paint stick primarily, but also does studies in watercolor and gouache. Graduated from University of Virginia, she has studied art for 30+ years at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts Studio School and at various workshop locations in the US and Europe. She has exhibited at Artspace Gallery, Zeus Gallery, CrossRoads Gallery, the VMFA Studio Gallery, and other locations. Her work is held in many private and public collections across the country.
