A hand-textured fine art print after Isaac Israëls’ Two Maids on the Lijnbaansgracht in Amsterdam, c. 1894. The print has been individually embellished by hand with artist’s gel medium, creating dimensional, impasto-like texture and the painterly character of the original composition.
Presented in a substantial vintage dark brown frame with intentionally distressed, timeworn character, a linen-textured surround, and a slender gold-tone liner. The layered framing beautifully complements the muted cream, brown, black, gray-green, and warm red tones of the artwork. A wonderfully atmospheric piece with the relaxed, expressive quality associated with Dutch Impressionism.
