This lively English sporting composition captures mounted hunters and a running pack of hounds moving across an open country landscape. Riders in vivid red, blue, and green jackets bring color and energy to the scene, while the galloping horses and hounds convey the excitement and tradition of the hunt. The artist’s reproduced “SW” initials appear at the lower left of the image.

The licensed reproduction is professionally matted and framed beneath glass. A deep forest-green mat surrounds the image, which is finished with a narrow gold-tone inner border. The substantial decorative frame combines a richly figured brown burlwood-style finish with distressed cream, black, and gold-tone classical ornamentation. A separate inset title panel beneath the image reads “The Find Tally-ho aw-ay o-o.”

Although modestly scaled, the elaborate frame gives this artwork exceptional decorative presence. It is an appealing addition to an English country, traditional, equestrian, hunt-country, library, study, office, or collected gallery-wall interior.

CONDITION

Excellent vintage condition overall. The licensed artwork remains clean and attractive beneath glass, with strong color and clearly rendered details. The forest-green mat and inset title panel present very well. The professionally assembled decorative frame is structurally sound and exhibits only minimal age-appropriate surface wear.
