A set of four Danish dining chairs designed by E. Knudsen for Jensen & Lykkegaard, Model 47, with woven cane backs and sculpted teak frames. The chairs have a particularly light profile, with gently shaped backrests framed in cane, slim tapered legs, and softly curved seat rails that give the frames a more organic feel. The woven backs add texture without making the chairs feel visually heavy, while the warm teak gives the set the depth and character associated with Danish furniture from the period. The seats are currently finished in a velvet black upholstery, creating a strong contrast against the wood and natural cane. Their compact proportions make the set easy to use around a smaller dining table, while the shaped frames and open backs give them enough presence for a larger room as well. A well balanced set of Danish modern chairs with an appealing mix of woven cane, warm teak, and subtle sculptural detail. The design feels considered from every angle without becoming overly formal.
