Often referred to as the "Pencil Vase," this distinctive solifleur takes inspiration from the elegant proportions of a traditional chemist's dispensing bottle, with a spherical body rising into an exceptionally long, slender neck. Executed in a striking and seldom-seen combination of rich ruby red and amber glass, the vase balances sculptural presence with refined simplicity. The rounded body rests on a broad circular pedestal foot in contrasting amber, enhancing its architectural silhouette while creating a subtle visual transition between the two colours. Carlo Moretti's restrained modernist approach is evident in the purity of the form and the exceptional clarity of the Murano glass. Designed as both a functional vessel and a sculptural object, the narrow neck is ideal for displaying a single flower stem or branch, while the vase remains equally compelling as a standalone decorative piece.
