A beautifully detailed brass and champleve enamel duck dish or vide-poche with exceptional decorative work throughout. The body forms a scallop-rimmed catchall dish, enameled in warm gold tones with a flying bird amid peonies, lotus blossoms, and trailing florals. The neck and head are cast brass, polished smooth — a lovely contrast to the richly decorated dish. Felt pad on the base.
A great piece for a vanity, nightstand, or entryway table as a ring or catchall dish, or simply displayed as a decorative object.
