These chairs feature a solid walnut structure with molded plywood seat and backrest. The legs have a distinctive semi-cylindrical section and are positioned externally to the seat frame, allowing the chairs to be stackable. The slightly concave backrest and seat connect seamlessly to the vertical supports, which rise with a subtle helical movement. The backrest is shaped like a fork, evoking flexibility and lightness while maintaining a strong sculptural presence.

The seat has been newly reupholstered in high-quality Italian brick aniline leather.

This model reflects Magistretti’s approach to industrial design based on clarity of form, functional intelligence, and expressive structural solutions. For Cassina, Magistretti also designed iconic pieces such as the Carimate chair and the Maralunga sofa, confirming his central role in postwar Italian design.
