This Mid-century sideboard from the 1960s possesses exactly the proportions that make a good design so serene. with a width of 157 cm, it offers ample storage space, while the slender base and recessed front ensure that the piece never appears heavy. The sideboard is crafted from carefully selected teak veneer. The natural grain of the wood is beautifully showcased, particularly on the top. The warm tones flow through the various sections of the furniture, giving the whole a calm, cohesive appearance. On the left are two doors revealing generous cupboard space behind them. A removable shelf divides this into two compartments. The original key is still present. On the right, four drawers are incorporated into the design. The virtually flush drawer fronts and understated wooden cup handles keep the front graphic and calm. The drawers open and close smoothly. It is also beautiful how the body is set back slightly within the frame. The narrow rim around the front and the solid teak base give the sideboard depth without drawing explicit attention to it. The tapered legs and dark cross braces make the silhouette interesting from every angle. The sideboard has been fully renovated in our workshop. Old finishes have been carefully removed and the wood restored where necessary. Subsequently, the piece of furniture has been nourished and finished with a high-quality matte furniture oil, allowing the warm color and natural grain of the teak to come fully to life once again. We restore with long-term use in mind, ensuring that a piece of furniture looks beautiful not only in photos but is also ready to be part of an interior for years to come. A particularly complete Mid-century piece of furniture, compact enough to be easily placed and with sufficient storage space for actual daily use. Upon purchase, you will receive maintenance instructions and furniture oil, so that the wood can easily be kept in good condition in the future.
