Not turned from a single piece, but constructed from various sections of solid teak wood. As a result, the direction of the wood grain varies around the base, forming a subtle geometric pattern. The lamp was manufactured by Kirk Copenhagen in the 1960s. The compact wooden sphere is interrupted at the top by a short brass element on which the socket and shade are mounted. A small detail that contrasts beautifully with the warm color of the teak. The generous fabric shade gives the lamp its balanced proportions. The natural material allows some of the light to pass through and creates a warm, soft glow when the lamp is lit. Due to the wide shade and relatively small base, the whole piece appears distinctive without becoming heavy. In our workshop, we have carefully cleaned and technically inspected the lamp. The teak wood has also been re-treated, allowing the various wood parts and the warm tone of the material to be beautifully visible again. The lamp is in very neat vintage condition. The original fabric shade shows light signs consistent with its age, which are mainly visible up close. with your purchase, we include a bottle of maintenance oil and accompanying instructions so that you keep the wooden part of the lamp in optimal condition.
