Introduced in 1969, the Soriana received the Compasso d'Oro award in 1970 and remains one of the most influential seating designs of the 20th century. Rather than relying on a rigid internal structure, the design celebrates generous upholstered volumes gathered and held in place by its distinctive chromed steel clamp, creating an iconic silhouette that combines sculptural presence with exceptional comfort.

This sofa retains its original brown leather upholstery from the first production, beautifully expressing the character acquired through decades of use. The leather displays a rich natural patina with visible creases, scratches, and age-related cracking that testify to its authenticity while preserving the timeless appeal of the original material.
