A splendid religious painting depicting the Madonna with Baby Jesus and an Angel.

A work rich in religious symbolism. The Madonna, positioned in the center, wears a warmly colored robe (yellow and red) and a blue cloak. Her head is covered by a light veil and her gaze is turned gently toward the baby Jesus. The baby Jesus is lying on his mother's lap, his head tilted back. He appears in a relaxed pose, almost asleep. On the left, a winged child figure (traditionally identified as an angel) reaches out toward the baby Jesus, holding a scroll of parchment unrolled in the foreground. The parchment has a profound theological and prophetic meaning linked to the destiny of Jesus. The scene unfolds in a dark interior. At the top left, a small square window opens, through which pale clouds can be seen, creating a luminous contrast.

A marvelous painting for its pictorial quality and profound religious message. The work displays the typical characteristics of Italian sacred art from the Baroque period, with a strong contrast of light and shadow and warm colors.
