Early pair of model 226 wall lamp, designed by Gino Sarfatti in 1959 for Arteluce Italy.
The lamps are marked with the original old Arteluce label. These early ones are becoming more rare and hard to find.
The lamps consist of a vertical tubular structure in chrome-plated metal, featuring spiral arms with multiple exposed light sources. Sarfatti deliberately used the bare bulbs as the central visual element, giving the piece the appearance of an archtitectural wall sconce.
Both lamps have LED bulbs.
The lamps are in good original condition. Some superficial wear due to time and usage. A few horizontal arms are slightly loose, but this does not affect the use of the lamps. This piece has an attribution mark,
