Pair of italian wall sconces dating from the 1950s, characterized by a refined geometric composition and a balanced combination of brass, black lacquered metal and opaline glass.
each fixture features a round brass wall plate supporting a straight brass arm, which extends outward to hold a vertical black lacquered metal stem. The upper section is enriched by a brass sleeve and a black conical element, supporting a spherical opaline glass diffuser partially set into a shallow brass cup. The contrast between the satin white glass, warm aged brass and black metal details gives the pair a distinctive mid-century italian character.
the opaline glass globes provide a soft and even light diffusion, while the brass and black metal structure creates a clean, architectural silhouette suitable for both classic and contemporary interiors.
the brass surfaces show a natural vintage patina, with oxidation, tonal variations and light signs of age consistent with time and use. The black lacquered metal elements show minor wear.
