Mid-Century Modern two-piece sectional sofa by Selig Modern, dating to the 1960s. The sectional features a clean, architectural profile with squared arms, loose back and seat cushions, and exposed wood bases and legs.
The sofa retains its original cream-colored upholstery. It is being offered in well-used vintage condition, with considerable age-related discoloration and staining throughout as well as a few small holes in the fabric. The upholstery would benefit from professional cleaning or reupholstery, making this an excellent candidate for restoration in a fabric of your choice.
Structurally, the sectional presents beautifully and has the classic proportions and understated lines associated with Selig’s mid-century designs. The two separate sections allow for flexible placement and work equally well together or as individual sofas.
A great original Selig Modern piece with strong bones and an excellent restoration opportunity.
