Description: Extremely high end set includes 2 arm chairs and 6 side chairs. Fine Chippendale style Mahogany chairs featuring shaped back support with pierced and interlaced vase-shaped splat and scrolled pagoda shaped cresting rail, on bold cabriole legs carved on the knees with cabochons and foliage, terminating in claw and ball feet. Arm chairs feature curved and molded arms and arm supports. The original of these chairs were in Penshurst Place Provence The Right Honorable The Viscount DeL'Isle English circa 1750. The original chairs were featured in The Dictionary of English Furniture Vol. I, Fig. 98 Macquoid and Edwards. The Baker Stately Home Collection features exquisitely hand-crafted replicas of historic furniture found in "the palaces and castles of the British and Continental nobility, the princesses, lords and ladies of the stately homes: Chatsworth, Blenheim and Longleat, and palaces in Russia" Baker's highest end and highest priced furniture pieces. Each chair would have retailed well over $7,000 in the 1990s. Arm Chair is model number 5045 and Side Chair is model number 5044.


Condition Report: Very Good condition with very light scuffs, scratches. Upholstery is in good condition and usable with some light wear and stains. Beautiful chairs.
