All these pieces form the core of a traditional French tea or coffee ritual (the so-called service à thé / café).Overview of the collected pieces (from left to right): Sugar bowl with lid (sucrier): For serving sugar cubes or granulated sugar. Teapot / Coffee pot (théière / cafetière): The centerpiece for hot beverages.Low pedestal stand / Compote dish (compotier): In the front center, intended for small pastries or fruit. Butter dish with saucer (beurrier): On the right side, meant for serving butter or spreads. In the 19th and early 20th centuries, such a coordinated set was the pride of any bourgeois household and was used for Sunday visits or afternoon tea parties. This piece has an attribution mark,
