Italian wall sconce dating from the 1950s, characterized by a bold geometric composition and a distinctive contrast of materials and colors.
the fixture features a round brass wall plate supporting an angular red lacquered metal arm. The structure holds a spherical opaline glass diffuser, set above a polished brass conical cup and finished with a red lacquered metal collar. The combination of satin white glass, warm brass and vivid red lacquered metal gives the sconce a strong decorative character, typical of italian mid-century lighting design.
the opaline glass globe provides a soft and even light diffusion, while the red metal arm creates a graphic, architectural silhouette when installed on the wall.
the brass surfaces show a natural vintage patina, with oxidation, tonal variations and signs of age consistent with time and use. The red lacquered metal parts show minor wear and small marks. The opaline glass diffuser is in good vintage condition, with light signs of use. Overall in good vintage condition.
