This remarkable brass lamp evokes the craftsmanship of the first half of the 20th century. Its design blends classic signal and beacon lights from the railway and maritime industries with industrial Art Deco forms: an oval body with cross-shaped glass windows and a richly patinated, homogeneous golden-brown surface.
The upper, chimney-like section of the lamp tapers gracefully and features perforations around its perimeter, originally intended for flame ventilation—thus, the piece was crafted based on an authentic oil lamp.
The solid, curved handle and flat base ensure absolute stability, while the oval, domed glass globes refract the light like thick lenses, creating warm tones. The piece was later expertly converted to electric operation, allowing it to be used both as a decorative element and as a functional ambient light.
This lamp lends a historical atmosphere to any room: In loft, industrial, vintage, steampunk, Mediterranean, or nautical interiors, it is a particularly spectacular eye-catcher with a unique character.
