The unusual monochromatic palette of warm ivory, black, and subtle metallic accents gives the lamp a distinctly atomic modernist character, while the deeply textured ceramic surface and irregular mosaic elements create a wonderfully sculptural presence.

The lamp is signed “Quartite Creative Corp.” and dated “MCMLXIX” (1969) at the base. It retains its original-style brass socket, harp, and electrical components.

A neutral fabric drum shade is included as shown. The shade is not original to the lamp and is included as an added accessory.

Quartite Creative Corp. was a New York-based maker known for distinctive Mid-Century Modern ceramic lighting and sculptural decorative objects. Period examples include highly textured ceramic lamps with geometric and mosaic decoration, including documented examples from the 1960s.
