c. 1920s-1930s; Burdick Cabinet Company - Milton, WI
Adjustable industrial wall lamp with pulley arm mechanism, fitted with a milk glass shade and brass socket produced under Burdick's Radio-Vitant System, patented in 1914. This lamp represents a rare example of early 20th-century utilitarian lighting adapted for both medical and domestic settings. The articulated arm allows extension and retraction, with the pulley wheel guiding the cloth-wrapped cord. The original two-part milk glass shade with ribbed upper dome and etched lower diffuser provides a soft, filtered light. Retains its original painted metal wall bracket with the Burdick decal intact.
