A three-seat leather sofa in a classic Chesterfield form, upholstered in a rich blue leather with deep button tufting across the back and rolled arms. Brass nailhead trim lines the edges, adding definition against the smooth surfaces. Three removable seat cushions rest on a tailored frame supported by square wooden legs.
Chesterfield sofas, originating in England in the 18th century, became a symbol of refined taste and were later widely reproduced in America by high-end furniture makers, such as Leathercraft, throughout the mid-20th century. Their durable hardwood frames and hand-tufted upholstery made them a long-standing staple in executive offices, clubs, and distinguished homes.
