Elegant vintage console table by Councill Craftsmen, an American furniture maker known for high-quality traditional furniture and fine cabinetry.
Crafted in richly finished mahogany, this long and narrow console features an attractive inset and banded top, intricate geometric fretwork along the apron and sides, and decorative pierced brackets beneath each corner. Slender molded legs and the warm mahogany finish give the table an elegant Chinese Chippendale-inspired appearance.
Its unusually shallow profile makes it especially versatile as a sofa table, entry console, hallway table, or decorative accent table.
The original Councill Craftsmen metal maker's plaque remains attached underneath.
