The console table originated from … Read more Wonderful Louis XV style console table with carved frame paired with a stunning marble top. The console table originated from an established 19th century bakery in Aix en Provence. We have several of the tables available. The green and ivory marble slab is elegantly shaped to a bowed front that aligns perfectly with the sensual curves of the base; the stone shows painterly veining of ivory and green patinated surface. This beautiful highly favored veined marble from Vert Campan, in the High Pyrenees region of France, was a favored royal stone famously used throughout the palace of Versailles. The apron prominently features a rococo style motif at the center, with similar foliate carvings at the corners that transition from the table apron to the cabriole legs. The frame has been hand stripped to a lovely shade of French white for casual elegance. The marble has a flat unfinished edge at the back side, but table is carved on all 4 sides. See less
