Artist & Provenance
Åke Falk (1926–2016) was a Swedish artist, ceramicist, and teacher. Born in Brunflo, he studied art and ceramics at Konstfack in Stockholm under Axel Waleij. In the mid‑1950s, Falk and his wife Ulla established Falkgården in Enhörna, a studio and exhibition space that became a popular destination known for its imaginative garden and creative atmosphere.
Falk worked across media, producing ceramics, sculpture, and paintings, and gained national recognition through the nature program Radioholken. His ceramic owls also appeared on TV as mascots in TV‑holken. His large sculpture Facklan (2013) stands in Enhörna as a lasting testament to his artistry.
Lövsta Enhörna exemplifies Falk’s ability to capture atmosphere and regional presence through expressive brushwork, situating his artistry within Nordic traditions of the 20th century.
