These sculptural wall lights feature a refined black-painted tubular metal structure that supports frosted glass globes. At first glance the shades appear as perfectly round spheres, yet each contains a subtle flattened detail that allows them to rest stably against the arm. The gently curved metal arm extends downward from the circular wall mount, flowing like a drawn line into the heart of the globe where the light source resides. When lit, the lamps emit a beautiful spherical glow, creating a soft and atmospheric illumination. They remain in good original condition. The lamps still have their original Arteluce sticker on the inside of the socket holders. Sergio Asti (1926–2021) was an influential Milanese architect and designer, celebrated for his elegant balance of form and function. Throughout the 1960s he collaborated with leading Italian manufacturers, among them Arteluce, founded by Gino Sarfatti. Arteluce was at the forefront of postwar lighting design, and Asti’s contributions stand out for their sculptural clarity and refined use of materials, securing his place among the key figures of Italian modernism.
