This heavy, substantial Murano art glass catchall (vide-poche) or luxury ashtray dates back to the 1960s/1970s and embodies the glamorous era of Venetian glass design. Design & Technique: Crafted from thick, high-quality crystal glass, the piece showcases a vibrant swirl of deep cobalt and marine blue. It is masterfully infused with fine, glittering metallic inclusions—a classic Murano technique known as Aventurine (Aventurina)—giving it a luxurious, starry night effect under direct light. The thick, organic rim features smooth, gently curved indentations typical of classic mid-century studio glass.Finish:In true high-end Murano tradition, the base has been professionally ground and polished to a perfectly smooth, mirror-like finish, leaving no rough pontil scar.

condition: good Vintage condition. The polnisches base has two small chips on the bottom edge which are not visible when the piece is displayed and do not affect it’s stability. See less
