A striking modern Art Deco style extending dining table designed by Dakota Jackson. The "Grand" dining table features two extending 22 inch leaves that expand the top from 7.5 feet to over 11 feet long. The spectacular top showcases a glass-like high-gloss reflective lacquer finish over Macassar ebony wood veneer with maple inlay and stainless steel accents. The broad top is crafted with book-matched veneers having accenting maple banding, creating a strong visual light and dark contrast. The immense top is set above a sculptural trestle base of two large pedestal bases, each pierced with an open window and joined by a low stretcher, all finished in glossy lacquered Macassar ebony. The legs end in polished stainless steel sabots, giving the piece a crisp and modern foundation. The table is heavy and solid with excellent joinery. Made with painstaking attention to detail and fine craftsmanship. The condition is exceptional and well preserved with very minor signs of wear from handling and use. The table expands via two leaves with the ability to be inserted into a slide-out mechanism, allowing the table to expand by 22" on each end for a total width of 135 inches wide. There is an optional fitted storage box that is included to hold the 2 leaves when not in use. The rare table is crafted in a stylish blend of Modern and Art Deco styles, suitable for a variety of interiors. Bespoke table crafted in New York state by Dakota Jackson. The table has ample leg room measuring 27" from floor to the apron.
