A sculptural handmade studio pottery teapot distinguished by its rounded form, softly ribbed surface, and richly textured matte green glaze.
Dark circular motifs sweep organically across the body, lid, handle, and spout, creating a graphic contrast against the muted green ground. Visible throwing lines and slight irregularities enhance the individual, artist-made character of the piece.
With its generous proportions and earthy palette, the teapot works beautifully as both a functional vessel and a decorative ceramic object. Its understated color and abstract surface treatment lend themselves especially well to Modernist, organic modern, rustic, and collected interiors.
The work is unmarked and is therefore offered without maker attribution.
There is a chip to the underside rim of the lid, largely concealed when the lid is in place. Otherwise, it remains in very good pre-owned condition with the natural variations expected of handmade pottery.
