Striking 1949 expressionist floral still life featuring three red blossoms arranged in a richly painted blue-green vase. Bold, gestural brushwork and saturated tones of yellow, blue, green, and red give the composition a distinctly modern presence. Signed and dated lower right and presented in a substantial black wood frame with a linen liner and warm metallic inner trim.
