The painting was acquired many years ago from a client who commissioned hand-painted interpretations of works by well-known artists from painters in India. The artist is unknown, and the work is offered as a decorative painting inspired by Cézanne rather than as an attributed work.

Beautifully presented with a wide deep-navy mat and a warm, understated textured gold frame. Its horizontal format and nearly 40-inch width give the piece considerable presence while making it easy to place over a console, desk, mantel or smaller sofa.

A handsome and unusual choice for a traditional, transitional or eclectic interior, particularly for someone who enjoys French Post-Impressionist art.
