Vintage hand-carved wood figure of an elderly fisherman carrying a large fish and a hanging wooden vessel from a long shoulder pole. The expressive face, long beard, flowing robes, fish, and textured base are all individually carved, with a deep reddish-brown finish that highlights the details.
The extended carrying pole and suspended vessel give the figure an especially appealing profile from multiple angles. The vessel is made from a lighter-toned wood and hangs from cord; its originality to the figure is unknown.
