Authentic pair of Kartell Dr. Glob dining chairs designed by Philippe Starck and made in Italy.
An iconic postmodern design from the late 1980s, the Dr. Glob combines a sculptural black tubular steel backrest with Starck’s distinctive molded seat, creating a chair that feels both playful and architectural. Lightweight yet sturdy, they’re equally at home around a dining table, desk, or as sculptural accent chairs.
Both chairs retain their original Kartell / Philippe Starck markings on the underside and date to 1989 production.
The pair is in very good vintage condition with light cosmetic wear consistent with age and use, including a few surface scuffs on the seats. Structurally they are solid and present beautifully. The primary materials: a batch-dyed polypropylene plastic compound for the seat and front legs, and a tubular steel structure for the backrest and rear legs
