Elevating it far above standard mass-produced vintage furniture, it showcases a wrap-around backrest supported by finely turned posts and two highly detailed, hand-carved pierced back splats. The chair rests upon pronounced cabriole legs adorned with intricate acanthus leaf carvings on the knees, terminating in robust, classic ball-and-claw feet. The drop-in seat is comfortably padded and upholstered in a luxurious, neutral cream damask fabric with a subtle tonal pattern, making it a sophisticated accent piece perfect for a study, living room corner, or entry hall . & though when measuring the chair from ball & claw to ball & claw its 18.5x18.5x32 inches, the scrolled terminal arms / carved knuckle arms are wider & the true measurements are 24x24x32 inches, see pics. The hand-carved mahogany frame shows a deep, reflective patina with light, minor surface wear and negligible scuffs, This piece is in stable structural condition, showing beautiful vintage character. It exhibits minor superficial surface cracking on the back rest, which is purely cosmetic and consistent with age and use (minor paint touch ups in the corner block area, where the spooled central column inserts into), which you can see in the last photo . Chair is architecturally & structurally sound & wood remains completely solid, sturdy, and ready for everyday use. The cream damask upholstery remains clean, and free of rips, tears, or fading.
