The upper sculpture depicts a semi-reclining woman with a dog, while the lower sculpture depicts a woman in the same position with a fruit in her hand and a basket full of fruit at her feet. The clean, stylized lines that create a strong compositional harmony are characteristic of early 20th-century Art Deco. A neoclassical influence can be seen in the positions of the two women, depicted semi-reclining and semi-nude.
