Magazine rack made with a beech frame and ash-covered container, featuring arched side uprights, tapered legs, and a double front rack designed to hold magazines and newspapers. The inclined container facilitates easy access to the contents, while the open structure visually lightens the overall effect and highlights the grain. In Italian cabinetmaking of the 1950s, beech was frequently used for structural elements due to its strength and ease of workability, while surfaces with more pronounced grain helped enhance the design of the piece. The traditional walnut stain, widely used in the post-war period, also allowed for the chromatic unity of different woods, lending the furniture the characteristic warm hue now associated with many pieces from the period. In its construction and carefully considered proportions, the magazine rack recalls the Italian design language of the 1950s, and in particular some of Ico Parisi's creations, in which subtle structural elements and organic forms define objects with a light yet carefully considered presence.
