The design is spectacular, and the final … Read more Splendid original Murano glass cascade chandelier from the 1960s/1970s, commonly attributed to Vistosi. The design is spectacular, and the final "cloud" effect is typical of the great Murano craftsmanship of the period. This chandelier features a central metal frame with decreasing concentric rings, specifically designed to distribute the considerable weight of the 36 individual glass elements without overloading any single point. The overlapping scales of the discs enclose the three central light bulbs. When the chandelier is turned on, the "bark" texture deflects the light rays, eliminating glare and projecting a wave-like pattern onto the walls of the room, reminiscent of the reflections of water or ice.
